Landscapes of Joy with Daimon Downey

Landscapes of Joy with Daimon Downey

In collaboration with Soho House, we welcomed members to Saint Cloche for a vibrant Friday afternoon of colour, nostalgia and creativity.

Led by Daimon Downey, Landscapes of Joy unfolded as an open and playful exploration of memory and place. Drawing from his exhibition Absurdists, guests translated personal landscapes into bold, intuitive collages, each work shaped by its own rhythm, palette and sense of recall.

The gallery hummed with energy as compositions took form. In a final gesture, Daimon demonstrated how each piece could be reimagined through cropping and colour borders, revealing new tensions, balances and unexpected resolutions.

A joyful and fitting close to Absurdists.

Special thanks to Campari, Felons Brewing Co, Cultiver, Irongate Estate, In The Roundhouse, Soho House and to everyone who joined us.
