A Special Lunch to Celebrate Saint Cloche Atelier

Saint Cloche is delighted to announce the launch of Saint Cloche Atelier, a new platform dedicated to bespoke cultural experiences that seamlessly integrate art, beauty, and design. To commemorate this exciting new chapter, gallery founder Kitty Clark hosted a relaxed lunch celebrating the Atelier’s inaugural exhibition, ‘Loud Whisper’, curated by the esteemed Karen McCartney.

The exhibition title, ‘Loud Whisper’, pays homage to McCartney’s admiration for Isamu Noguchi’s iconic sculpture of the same name, exploring the paradox that a work can be both subtle and powerful, intimate yet commanding. For this exhibition, she hand-selected some of her favourite pieces from Saint Cloche’s stable of artists, curating a collection that reflects this delicate balance of presence and restraint.

The exhibition features design interventions from 506070, Sydney’s original mid-century modern design boutique. Established in 1998 by Mike Dawborn, 506070 has been a beacon for collectors and enthusiasts of rare and beautifully restored 20th-century design objects. Selected furniture and lighting from their collection transformed the gallery space into an evocative environment where art and design converged.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Karen McCartney for her effortlessly exquisite curation that set the tone for this remarkable event. Our sincere appreciation goes to 506070 for providing timeless, drool-worthy collectible furniture that enhanced the exhibition’s ambiance. A special thank you to Savva Savas from Plated and Three Food Memories for crafting a gastronomical feast that delighted our senses. We are grateful to CDK Stone for supplying the perfectly veined marble that complemented our aesthetic vision, and to Cultiver for the beautiful table linen. Our thanks also go to Tracey Deep for adding the finishing touch of nature, bringing life and vibrancy to the space. Finally, we deeply appreciate the talented artists hand-selected by Karen McCartney for this special exhibition, whose works captivated and inspired all who attended.

We look forward to welcoming all to ‘ Loud Whisper, where art, beauty, and design come together in perfect harmony.
