A Natural Connection Between Art and Stone

A Natural Connection Between Art and Stone

We at Saint Cloche Gallery were delighted to attend the unveiling of CDK Stone’s newest Sydney Selection Centre in Alexandria. The exclusive event brought together architects, designers, and creatives to experience the stunning new space, featuring a curated selection of striking Natural Stones.

With gourmet canapés and flowing drinks by Plated, Savva Savas, lush blooms by My Violet's Myra Perez, and live music setting the tone, the evening celebrated design, materiality, and innovation. Officially launched by CDK’s Director, Tony Victor, and Tanya Buchanan, Editor in Chief of ARE Media, the event showcased the synergy between natural beauty and artistic expression.

A highlight of the evening was the integration of Terrasence, a collaboration between CDK Stone and Saint Cloche, featuring artists inspired by natural materials. Indivi Sutton and Skye Jamieson’s earthy pigments, Will Cooke’s use of light and metal, and Saxon Quinn’s urban-influenced sculptures echoed the organic beauty and resilience of stone. Greg Penn’s biomorphic forms and Astrid Salomon’s tactile ceramics further emphasised the harmonious connection between art and CDK Stone’s ethos, celebrating timeless materiality.
