'The Modern Muse' Panel Discussion

'The Modern Muse' Panel Discussion

Saturday 9th March, 3 - 4pm

At Saint Cloche Gallery
37 MacDonald St, Paddington NSW

Saint Cloche is pleased to announce a very special panel discussion during Cindy Kavanagh’s The Modern Muse – a photographic exhibition of 50 women over 50, bringing together unique portraits and stories of women viewed through the lens of feminine archetypes.

Discussion Moderator, Vashti Whitfield will lead the panellists Floria Tosca, Katie Feder and Valerie Williams in a conversation about what may be lost through our fifties, but also what is found. There is an alchemical art to dissolving what we were in the first half of our lives, and then embracing the rise of a new stage full of promise, passion, freedom, and joy. What does it take to die to the one we thought we were and be born to the one that we are now called to be.

Vashti Whitfield: Speaker and Facilitator

With over twenty years facilitating and studying the human experience of Life, Loss, Leadership and Legacy, Vashti is the definition of a Transformational Facilitator. From Leadership and Motivational Keynote Speaker, to hosting and facilitating evocative and provocative discussions and debates. Vashti’s disarmingly candid, highly intuitive, and wildly entertaining. Her ability to marry her vast professional experience, as a mindset and resilience expert and human potential advisor, with that of her own remarkable life - from Afghanistan to Australia, street level to suite level, the red carpet to the chemo ward, invite all levels of transformation and conversation.

Floria Tosca: Visual Artist

Floria Tosca’s practice encompasses painting, drawing and animation. It illuminates the dualities of existence; strength and fragility, the beautiful and the grotesque, life and death. Tosca was raised in a rural settling that nourished her communion with the natural world. The artist possesses a sensitivity to our impact upon the environment, as well as nature’s place in our psyche. This complex relationship of the organic and human footprint often plays out in her compositions with what is mythical, bizarre, or overlooked.

Katie Feder: Psychotherapist

Katie feels privileged and deeply grateful to be trusted each day to hold people’s inner emotional journeys.
Through her work as a Psychotherapist she runs deeply immersive retreats, works with clients one on one and is currently writing her first book.
We are all on a process of becoming and she believes being photographed in this way supported her to come into closer connection with who she truly is.

Valerie Williams: Vedic Meditation Teacher

Born in America, Valerie comes from deep rooted multicultural heritage where connection to nature and the greater was a natural part of growing up. She explored this theme on her travels around the globe, over many arts mediums, architecture, singing, acting, writing, radio, language, media production and engagement with people.

Now it is her great pleasure to teach Vedic Meditation and instruct people how to reduce stress, be the calm in the storm, finding more creativity across the board, by simply accessing this powerful connectivity we all have within. Helping people to take steps to better their lives and those around them.

We hope you can join us.
