Saint Cloche Gallery, Paddington proudly reveals ‘Fantasia’, a new body of work from artist and designer, Evi O at Sydney Contemporary 2019.
Kitty Clark, Founder of Saint Cloche Gallery, has established a unique place for artists to explore their creativity and for its loyal audience to be touched by emotions and stories that relate to our shared humanity – this is the philosophy of the gallery.
The Saint Cloche culture is communal and collaborative, and Kitty embraces the whole creative process with her artists from concept through to installation. Not one to believe in singular roles, she acknowledges that it takes a team to bring together a great show and this is evident in her relationship with Evi O. There is a strong connection, a meeting of the minds with a shared sense of humanity in their approach to a project. Kitty and Evi are aligned in their vision, drive and wit, with a shared understanding of the cultural influence of art in a worldly context.
Working together, they create a perfect balance of naivety and determination to voice stories and ideas through art that crosses cultural boundaries.
Colour is a signature for both the art and design practice that Evi O. leads. With projects ranging from artworks, books, objet d’art and homeware pieces, the artist’s exploration of forms, functions and executions are multi-dimensional. A body of work is often presented with spatial experience in mind.
