Solmera is a curated art experience developed in close alignment with the architectural and interior vision of One Darling Point. Conceived as a refined collector’s residence rather than a traditional exhibition, the presentation unfolds as a composed journey through the display suite, where each work has been carefully positioned to enhance spatial rhythm, material depth, and atmosphere. Artists have been personally selected by Kitty Clark for their commitment to materiality, craft, and conceptual clarity, ensuring a seamless dialogue between art, architecture, and design.

Responding to Darling Point’s harbourside setting and its enduring mid-century architectural legacy, the curatorial approach is shaped by light, proportion, and flow. Sculptural, figurative, and luminous abstract works are chosen for their tonal restraint and material integrity, engaging subtly with the passage from day to night. Together, they cultivate a sense of permanence, quiet luxury, and composure.

The name Solmera, inspired by Solomeo, reflects a cyclical relationship with time and light. It speaks to a gentle progression from morning to dusk, mirroring the movement of sunlight across the harbour and through the suite, allowing the works to reveal themselves gradually rather than all at once.

Presented as an offsite exhibition, Solmera extends beyond display to experience. The artworks activate the suite as a living environment, encouraging considered movement and reflection. As light shifts, surface, texture, and tone subtly change, reinforcing an atmosphere of calm, refinement, and continuity.

In this way, Solmera positions art as an essential architectural element, a bridge between place, environment, and human experience, transforming the display suite into a residence where art, design, and setting exist in quiet balance.
