OASIS: Celebrating Elsa Peretti's Legacy

Saint Cloche is honored to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Elsa Peretti’s iconic partnership with Tiffany & Co. through OASIS. This exhibition pays tribute to Peretti’s groundbreaking, nature-inspired designs that redefined jewelry and paved the way for future generations of female creatives.

Curated by Kitty Clark, OASIS features proud Wiradjuri woman Hannah Lange, whose deep connection to the Australian landscape mirrors Peretti’s reverence for nature. Lange’s OASIS collection, inspired by the Blue Mountains, reflects timeless beauty that aligns with Tiffany & Co.'s legacy of elegance and innovation.

This exhibition celebrates Peretti’s lasting influence while supporting Indigenous Australian artists, creating a sensory experience at Tiffany & Co.'s flagship store in Sydney.

Oasis

“My notion of paradise in my art practice and in life is my connection to Country. Country is what ties me back to my ancestors – what makes me feel at home and at peace. Observing and then painting the tree’s patterns feels as though I give the tree Yindyamarra (respect). Studying the smallest of pattern or detail and then recreating that through contemporary and traditional techniques is my idea of joy.”

- Hannah Lange

Hannah Lange is a proud Wiradjuri woman and self-taught artist telling stories of nature and culture through art. She was born and raised in the Blue Mountains on Dharug/Darug and Gundungurra country, a landscape that deeply influences her work. Her art often captures both the sweeping grandeur of native bushland, rivers, and layered sandstone cliffs, as well as the minute details, like bark patterns, that speak to the place she once called home.

Hannah now resides on Bundjalung Country, Northern Rivers NSW, where she finds infinite inspiration in the surrounding forests and coastlines. Her work highlights the intricate parts of nature that often go unnoticed, drawing attention to its beauty and emphasising the deep connection First Nations peoples have with the land. Her special relationship with Country and her art practice sustains her connection to culture and ancestors.

Most recently, Hannah won the 2024 Wollumbin Art Award with her painting Weaving by the River, which also earned her a two-week residency at the Nancy Fairfax Artist in Residence Studio.
