Elliott Routledge, born in Tokyo, Japan, is a contemporary abstract artist based in Sydney. With a focus on abstract art, public installations, and figurative sculpture, his work addresses the intersections between individual identity, public space, and human experience. Routledge is widely recognised for his public art projects, including landmark murals and sculptures in cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, San Diego, Florida, Cambodia, and France.

Notable works include the TI TREE WALK mural at Melbourne Quarter (2024), the JOY IN NATURE mural in San Diego (2023), and the MOXY HOTEL exterior mural in Sydney (2022), as well as numerous permanent works in public spaces across the globe. Routledge’s Strange Oasis installation was acquired by the Manly Art Gallery and Museum in 2023, and his paintings and sculptures are held in private collections worldwide.

“Through this exhibition, I aim to show that imperfections, in both their physical and conceptual forms, are not defects but rather something to be embraced.

In a world obsessed with polish and sameness, BLEMISH invites you to pause and find beauty in what is raw, awkward, and real.”
