Hannah Nowlan & Tatsiana Shevarenkova

Returning to the gallery this Autumn, sought after Melbourne artist Hannah Nowlan and for the first time, emerging Sydney ceramic sculptor Tatsiana Shevarenkova.
About Hannah Nowlan:
Living and working on Boonwurrung land in Black Rock, Victoria, Australia, Hannah Nowlan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts; Drawing and Printmaking from the Victoria College of Arts, University of Melbourne (2015). Finalist in the Patron Craftsmanship Award (2020), Fisher’s Ghost Art Award (2019) and the Incinerator Art for Social Change Award (2015). Hannah also participated in an International Artist In Residence program at the University of Lisbon, Portugal (2016).
Exhibiting in numerous solo and group exhibitions, Hannah’s work is held in various private collections within Australia and Internationally. Hannah has also featured in several art publications and magazines, notably, The Design Files (2019, 2017), Badlands Journal (2019) and Unconditional Magazine New York (2017).
About Tatsiana Shevarenkova:
Tatsiana Shevarenkova is a Belarusian artist based in Sydney. After a career as a fashion stylist in Moscow, she moved to Australia in 2019 and began to explore her curiosity of more tactile mediums. As a self-taught artist, she founded COSSET CERAMICS in 2020 and began to explore sculptural forms. Moved by the biomorphic sculptors of the mid 20th century, she creates dramatic but utilitarian objects through a diverse range of throwing and hand-building techniques.
