TRACEY DEEP: SPIRIT, SCULPTURES & INSTALLATIONS
Tracey Deep is an artist that needs little introduction.
Celebrated for her sustainable sculptures and installations using organic and industrial recycled materials for over two decades – her creations are as distinctive as a signature, and have graced events ranging from the Art Gallery of NSW to Belle magazine, and from Tropfest to Startrek, and from the Winter Olympics to Hugh Jackman.
I have been working as a floral sculptor for the last 20 years. Evolving over the last 10 years my art practice spawned from floral art & has developed into the realm of environmental art, sculpture & installations. My passion is working with used, industrial, organic, discarded, pre loved & discontinued materials, to create sustainable art. I revel in the natural world. My works reflect a poetic play of light & shade, earth textures & sensual forms, inspired by the essence of nature.
– Tracey Deep
A powerhouse of imagination and generosity of spirit, Tracey Deep will reveal a body of work inspired by Spirit – a poem written in her honour by Prue Gibson, art writer and lecturer.
