“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”
Robert Brault, American Writer
We simply can’t wait to reveal our annual feel-good, community event, The Little Things Art Prize 2023! Now in its 9th year, established with the goal to encourage the honouring and celebration of the small, ordinary things in life that are quite extraordinary, LTAP 2023 is shaping up to be as inspirational and joyful as ever.
It’s the little things that often have the biggest impact on our lives and it is so important that we should learn to recognise their value. Research shows that those that practise gratitude and are mindful about the little things that nurture and sustain us through our lives, find this practice a valuable source of mental balance.
LTAP2023 is a competition developed and founded by local artist, Marnie Ross in 2015 and supported and hosted by Saint Cloche gallery, Paddington. The competition welcomes submissions by artist with varying degrees of experience and motivates the local community to come together creatively.
Artists are invited to respond to the concept of the ‘little things’ in life that make them feel happy or grateful. We are always so inspired and moved by the results, and we’re pretty sure that with some help from our wonderful judges, we will unearth and manifest treasure and an abundance of positivity!
100 finalists have been selected by esteemed judges, Evi O, Karen Black and David Stein.
