LITTLE THINGS ART PRIZE 2019
28 August – 8 September 2019
What are the ‘little things’ that make you feel happy or grateful?
2 Categories – Wall Works & Ceramics • Open to all ages • Set Size
The Little Things Art Prize now in its fifth year, is a competition developed by local artist Marnie Ross and supported through the Woollahra Council & Cultural Grants Program. The competition welcomes submissions by artists with varying degrees of experience and inspires the local community to come together creatively.
Founded in 2015 by Marine Ross, the Little Things Art Prize invites artists to create small scale works or ‘little things’ that make them feel happy or grateful.
The Little Things Art Prize draws from the science of Positive Psychology. The prize seeks to emphasise the benefits of focusing on the ‘little things’ that make life worthwhile, as well as inspiring the community through creative engagement. The exhibition of finalists is ultimately a celebration of the artists, their work and a greater shared experience imbued with positivity and gratitude.
