HORIZON is a new body of work exploring the emotive response that can be brought on by an ever-shifting backdrop of the local landscape. The process driven body of work employs gestural mark and intuitive use of colour informed by and layered with memory. Revisiting gardens and objects of nostalgia Horizon is a meditation on the quiet moments that shape us.
“For this exhibition, I have been deeply influenced by my immediate environment. This body of work often ponders and celebrates moments of nature as they coexist within the urban backdrop.”
A recent graduate of National Art School with a Bachelor of Fine Art (Painting), Alessandra was the recipient of third prize in the esteemed 2018 ArtStart Award. After exhibiting in a number of group exhibitions, this is her first solo show.
