21st March – 11th April 2015
Art in the Boudoir – A tactile, multi-dimensional exhibition.
“Did ever a thing bring so much delight,
As a world made up in blue and white?”
Featuring the evocative cloud-scape paintings of artist Kate Hopkinson-Pointer – well known for her cloud-chasing ways…
“Clouds to me are like human emotions, so full of movement. Cloud-skies are the metaphor in my work. Cloud-sky watching has become totally addictive to me. Clouds are so temporary – I use my energy to capture those changeable clouds and sky, trying to evoke the human emotion.”
Covetable ceramicist Milly Dent, and the delicious textiles of Walter-G will create a dreamy, sumptuous, surround-sound boudoir experience with a desirable, multi-layered gallery installation in hues of blue.
Sydney-based Milly is a ceramics designer creating works with a sense of tangibility, materiality and concept exploration – all uniquely handmade in her trademark palette of blue and white.
What is a boudoir without a bed? Get up close and personal with a decadent daybed, centre-stage and overloaded with a generous serving of Walter-G’s block-printed textiles, all made by hand in a visual feast of blue and indigo.
